In the world of Ekho, there lies a mysterious island known as Kaigan—the Island of Stone. Towering mountains pierce the sky, their jagged peaks shrouded in mist, while ancient rock formations spiral along the cliffs like the spines of forgotten titans. Legends say the stones whisper to those who listen, guarding secrets of a long-lost civilization. Few dare to climb the island’s treacherous ridges, but those who do often return changed—if they return at all.

*The island is the the middle point between the two forest boundaries and is the gateway point back to our world. Whispers linger from the cave within the island; pushing and pulling thoughts to individuals who continue to stay near the cave, like drowning in madness only to get clarity by leaving to one of the forests, giving an illusion of choice. Getting across the river has options; swimming, finding a boat that has been left behind, or waiting for the boat man of the river that drops by.

The island is the place that is in between, a place that is neutral to the forest sides.

Sazanami a boat man who travels to the island often and back and forth from the two different forests, regarded as a ferry man and sometimes a smuggler who sometimes brings items to sell/trade to ekho and ours.
